Aetheron Application

Aetheron membership is available to individuals who can demonstrate a qualifying score of 155 or higher on the SD15 scale.

Applicants may submit results from a qualifying professionally administered intelligence assessment or from one of the high-range non-proctored assessments listed below.

Submit your results to apply@highiqsocieties.com, using the subject "Aetheron Application".

02

Minimum IQ Requirement

Aetheron — IQ 155+

Aetheron uses the SD15 scale and requires a qualifying IQ score of 155 or higher.

Because Aetheron represents the highest membership level within the G.A.I.N. Network, submitted assessments must be capable of measuring into the 155+ SD15 range.

Scores from tests whose published or demonstrated range does not extend to at least 155 SD15 cannot establish Aetheron eligibility by themselves.

03

Proctored Intelligence Tests

Aetheron accepts qualifying results from recognized intelligence assessments administered by a licensed psychologist or other appropriately qualified professional.

The exact ceiling and scoring system varies by edition and administration. The submitted report must provide sufficient information to establish a score equivalent to 155 or higher, SD15.

  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC)
    Author / developer: David Wechsler
High-range capability: Up to approximately 160 on applicable editions

Developer: Cecil R. Reynolds and collaborators
High-range capability: High-range scoring varies according to the administered battery and normative system
Primary domains: Verbal intelligence, nonverbal intelligence, memory, and general cognitive ability
Important: A professionally administered assessment is evaluated according to the actual report supplied. The relevant score must correspond to 155+ SD15; a test's lower or higher overall ceiling alone does not determine eligibility.
04

Accepted Non-Proctored Tests

Aetheron recognizes a limited number of non-proctored high-range intelligence assessments. These assessments are included because their scoring systems or published norms extend into the range required for Aetheron membership.

Only the first and second attempts are accepted.

High Range IQ

Additional high-range testing resources are also available through High Range IQ .

Results from assessments available through High Range IQ may be submitted for consideration when the particular assessment and score provide sufficient evidence of performance at or above 155 SD15.

06

Submit Your Results

Aetheron applications are reviewed individually. Please provide the test name, your score, and sufficient information for the result to be evaluated on the SD15 scale.

For online assessments, please provide the complete result page or score report where possible. Only the first and second attempts of accepted non-proctored assessments are eligible for consideration.

Results that do not clearly establish a score of 155 or higher SD15 may not be sufficient for Aetheron membership.
